Cowork — Claude Code for Desktop

Cowork brings Claude Code's agentic capabilities to the Claude desktop app, making agentic workflows accessible without a terminal.

How it works:

1. Open the Claude desktop app (download at claude.com/download)
2. Give Claude access to a folder on your computer
3. Set a task and let Claude work autonomously
4. Claude loops you in along the way for decisions and approvals

When to use Cowork vs Claude Code CLI:

• Cowork: Great for non-terminal users, quick file tasks, and when you want a visual interface
• Claude Code CLI: More powerful for developers — supports hooks, MCP servers, plugins, and full terminal integration
